“Kyai Imad’s Thesis Enlightens Muslims in Indonesia
By : CEO Metrowilis.com Mr. Agus Zahid
Dear readers who are blessed by Allah.
First, let us express our gratitude to Allah, who has bestowed His mercy and guidance upon us, so that today we are able to attend this event. May it bring blessings and benefits to us all.
Secondly, let us send our prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad. May we receive his intercession on the Day of Judgment.
Alhamdulillah, with the existence of the thesis by Mr. Imaduddin Ustman Al Bantani regarding the alleged falsification of the Ba'lawi lineage, Muslims around the world—especially in Indonesia—have gained clarity. The spiritual domination that has existed since the Dutch colonial era in Indonesia is now considered to have collapsed. Muslims no longer fully believe in the Ba'lawi lineage that claims descent from the Prophet Muhammad.
This is very important, because spiritual domination carried out by deceiving Muslims is not only highly detrimental to Islam and its followers, but also harms the dignity of the Indonesian nation as a great and highly civilized nation. This dignity has been distorted by these agents of spiritual domination through misleading falsehoods that degrade the honor of the Indonesian people.
We encounter many such claims on social media. Some of them claim to be descendants of the Prophet Muhammad and demand to be honored above the indigenous people of Indonesia. They assert that an unlearned “Habib” is more noble than seventy Kyai. They also say that Java is merely a gateway. Even more extreme, they claim that their figure, Fakih Muwodam, can ascend to God seventy times a day, and that they can grant intercession. There are many statements like these that mislead the Muslim community.
Before the thesis by Kyai Imad, many Muslims in Indonesia did not dare to oppose these claims because they still believed that those individuals were descendants of the Prophet. However, that trust has now diminished, as it is argued that their lineage is not connected to the Prophet Muhammad—both based on historical sources from the same era and on DNA tests, which are claimed to show a different haplogroup.
The Prophet Muhammad and his descendants are said to belong to haplogroup J1, whereas the Ba'lawi lineage is said to belong to haplogroup G.
It is claimed that those identified as Ba'lawi descendants do not have Arab ancestry, so their assertion of being descendants of the Prophet is considered highly implausible and rejected. They are alleged to be of Ashkenazi Jewish descent.
Muslims in Indonesia no longer believe in their alleged deception, and as a result, the Muslim community is expected to rise again as it did during its past golden age.
Islam is a noble and exalted religion that cannot be diminished.
That's all. Thank you.(*)
